Getting Started
How do I get AXLE?

AXLE is on the App Store for iPhone and free to download. Open the app, create your account, and connect Apple Health. If someone invited you to a group, tap their invite link again after installing and you'll join automatically.

What do I need?

An iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later. An Apple Watch or another wearable that syncs with Apple Health gives AXLE the most to work with, but a wearable isn't required.

Which wearables work?

AXLE reads wearable data through Apple Health. Apple Watch gives the fullest picture, and Oura works well too. Some devices share less with Apple Health: WHOOP and Garmin, for example, don't pass along heart-rate variability.

You can also connect Strava, which adds the route and start location to your outdoor sessions.

Do I need a wearable?

No. Without one, AXLE still builds your training from your history, schedule, equipment and feedback. Readiness and sleep insights need overnight data, so they get much better with a wearable.

Does AXLE get better over time?

Yes, and that's the point. It learns from the sessions you finish and skip, the feedback you give and the corrections you make. Week one feels more general. Within a couple of weeks it should feel noticeably like yours.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, tap the password reset option and enter your email. You'll get a reset link. You can also sign in with a magic link sent to your email.

Training
How does AXLE decide what workout to give me?

It starts from one living picture of you: your recovery signals, recent training load, movement balance, injuries, equipment, schedule and goals. Then it writes the session for today, sized to your time and readiness.

Why did AXLE tell me to do less today?

Because your signals said so. If your sleep, heart-rate variability or training load point to under-recovery, AXLE reduces volume or intensity. That's the system working: the right session for today, not the hardest one.

What's the difference between generate, build and log?

Generate lets AXLE create the whole session from your current state. Build lets you describe what you want, by typing or by voice: "45 minutes, a barbell and a pull-up bar, posterior chain." Log records something you already did, so AXLE can learn from it.

Can I edit a workout before I start it?

Yes. Swap exercises, adjust sets and reps, or change the plan. Your edits teach AXLE your preferences.

Can I bring my training history?

Yes. Workouts already in Apple Health come in automatically, and you can import past training so your baselines start ready instead of starting from zero.

Why do personal records matter?

They tell AXLE where you actually are. With them, loads and paces come from your own numbers instead of a generic table. Update them as you set new ones.

Readiness And Health Data
What is readiness?

One honest number each morning, distilled from your overnight signals and recent training load and judged against your own normal, with the reasoning one tap away. It shapes the day's plan automatically.

Why is my score low?

Usually a short or restless night, a run of hard training, or not enough recovery. It isn't a judgment, it's a signal, and AXLE adjusts your plan to it.

My health data isn't syncing.

On your iPhone, open Settings, then Health, then Data Access & Devices, choose AXLE, and make sure the data categories are turned on. A new wearable can take a few hours to bring in its history.

Travel
How does AXLE know I'm traveling?

If you allow it, AXLE reads the calendars on your iPhone and spots upcoming trips. You can also create a travel report yourself for any destination and dates.

What's in a travel report?

Workouts that fit where you're staying, gyms and good food nearby, weather and air quality worth knowing, and a day-by-day jet lag protocol built from your itinerary.

Ask AXLE
What can Ask AXLE do?

It knows your history, metrics and goals, and it can act. Ask it to move a rest day, mute a reminder, change your coach's tone, build a workout or a training plan, or set a reminder, and the change happens. You can type or talk.

Every change comes with a receipt and an undo. Consents, billing and your account identity are off-limits to the agent by design.

Can AXLE book or buy things for me?

Not with real money yet. AXLE can search for flights, hotels, classes and events and hand you the link to book. Anything that spends money will always ask you first.

Will it remember what I tell it?

Yes, and you stay in charge of it. Standing preferences like "never show me creatine again" stick, and you can review and delete what AXLE remembers.

Plans And Pricing
Is AXLE free?

AXLE is free to download. Readiness, morning briefings, recaps and Ask AXLE are free, along with three AI-built workouts a week and one travel report a month.

AXLE Pro lifts those limits and adds monthly health reports. It's $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. The App Store shows the current price in your currency before you subscribe.

What is AXLE Max?

Max is our next tier, coming soon. It will include everything in Pro, plus quarterly trend deep-dives, a priority lane for Ask AXLE and API access, for $19.99 a month or $99.99 a year.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose AXLE.

Privacy
Do you sell my data?

We don't sell your personal information, and your health data is never used for advertising. There are no ad networks in the app. Read the details in our Privacy Policy.

Who can see my data?

You. If you connect a coach or a clinician, they see only the sections you choose to share, and every view is logged to your account. If you connect an outside AI assistant, it's read-only and sees only the sections you allow.

How is my data protected?

Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, and core biometrics like heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep get an extra layer of field-level encryption. More on our Trust page.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open More, tap your profile, choose Edit Profile, then Delete Account. Your account and data are deleted.

How do product recommendations work?

They're matched to your context, like sleep, training load and recovery. The recommender can't see whether a product pays us a commission, nobody can pay to rank, and you never have to buy anything.

Partners
Can my clinic, gym, coach or company offer AXLE?

Yes. AXLE runs under partner brands for concierge and longevity clinics, coaches and trainers, specialty gyms and employers. See AXLE for Partners or write to hello@axlehealth.com.

If my coach or clinic uses AXLE, what do they see?

Only the sections you choose to share, and you can change that. Every view is logged to your account.

I found a bug. Where do I report it?

Use Help & Support inside the app, or email hello@axlehealth.com. Tell us what happened and what you expected, and add a screenshot if you can.

Still Wondering?

The fastest answer is the app itself. It's free to download.
